MUSIC (digital)

Recently, I have become very interested in electronic music, or techno as it is sometimes referred to. This is a complete departure from the music I'm used to as there are no real musical instruments involved at all. It is all computerized, synthesized and digitized. In this genre of music, one uses sound samples gathered from other sources or the sounds can be created from scratch.

I am very new to this style of music, so if you are looking for expert guidance or advice, you won't find it here; however, over the last several months since I've started this, I've learned a lot about composing electronic music, synthesizers, digital effects and sound mixing. Here is a photo of my little studio upstairs.

So far I have managed to put together a modest little studio at a surprisingly modest price. The components I've collected so far is an Oxygen 61 midi keyboard, a Xear 3D sound card, a set of M-Audio Studio 3 studio monitors and a pair of Sony MDR-V6 Studio headphones.

Currently I am using Reason 4 for composition and production. There are a lot of other software packages out there for music production, but Reason is about all I can handle for now. Although I haven't put together and entire song yet, I have several in works and hope to post them here soon. I hope you will check back in the near future to hear them. I am very pleased with some of the things I've put together.
